Mark Phillips is a registered architect in Arizona and an Arizona State University graduate, with more than two decades of experience at CCBG. Since joining the firm as an intern in 1997, Mark has become a keystone member of the studio, officially named Associate in 2018.
He leads design and project management for a wide range of work, with a particular focus on church clients. Mark also plays a key role in firm operations, supporting staffing, workload coordination, and I.T. management. His collaborative spirit and background in both architecture and construction consistently result in successful outcomes and long-term client relationships.
Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, Mark has called Phoenix home for over 40 years. Outside the office, he enjoys hiking, road cycling, following professional cycling, and spending time with his wife, four children, and their dogs. A fun fact: Mark plays handbells at his church in the Valley.
Best business advice he’s received: “Architecture is an ‘open-book test.” Take your time with decisions. Take advantage of all resources available.”
Best business advice he’s shared: “Serve people.”
