Conserves And Restores From The 1940’s

With this renovation of an existing 1940’s warehouse the architecture selectively conserves and restores what is old while inserting minimal forms to define space. The existing reinforced concrete structure and wood ceilings are juxtaposed by new walls that create dynamic spatial experiences. As much ‘lived in archaeology’ as architecture, it is more as a sustained overlapping of times than as traditional restoration.
