Karty Halldorson is a Project Manager at CCBG Architects, where he brings more than two decades of experience guiding projects from early concept to final construction. Since joining the studio in spring 2022, he has been a steady force in translating napkin sketches into built environments, blending design leadership with precise coordination across architects, engineers, and consultants.
Karty is known for fostering lasting relationships with owners, contractors, and collaborators; anchored by integrity, a driven process, and meticulous attention to detail. His portfolio spans K–12 schools, age-in-place communities, multifamily housing, and mid- to high-rise developments, each shaped by his commitment to realizing the client’s vision.
He earned both his Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design from Montana State University. Outside the studio, Karty enjoys hiking Arizona’s trails, playing chess, and spending time with his family. Fun fact: he once worked as a college bouncer, proof that he’s always been good under pressure.
Best business advice he’s received: “Avoid unnecessary complexity. Simpler solutions are often the best option.”
Best business advice he’s shared: “Take a break from a problem and come back with a fresh set of eyes. There is always a solution.”
